Jenny Bates has spent many years as a multi-hyphenate artist in the musical theater world and released her debut rock EP, “Unpacked Cases,” as the lead singer of BECKERTON in 2022. Along with fronting BECKERTON, Jenny Bates is the live performance lead singer for the synthpop group DIAMOND FIELD. Their cover track of New Order’s “Temptation” was released in July 2023 and their original song “Belinda” was released in November 2024.

Jenny has toured with The Motion Epic and LAU and is now an official member of the synthwave NYC-favorite group, BUNNY X. Their next full-length album releases in August 2026.

She also co-hosts a monthly 80s social music party in NYC called “Risky Business.”

Off stage, she is a Broadway tour publicist and marketing director and represents some of the most well-known musicals in the world including Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Jersey Boys, MJ, The Last Ship starring Sting, Fun Home, The Light in the Piazza and many more.

Jenny is also the behind-the-camera eye of JenEpiphany Photography, taking performance and publicity photos for local NYC bands, free for their personal and professional uses to help pay it forward. She hails from San Diego but now proudly resides in New York City.

For over 25 years, Jenny has provided the press and marketing direction for Broadway national tours on both local and national levels. She is currently with BOND Theatrical and has worked with the Nederlander Organization, AWA Touring Services and Broadway Booking Office NYC. Career highlights include: Les Misérables (4 national tours), The Phantom of the Opera (Music Box, Meg and Box 5 Tours), Miss Saigon, Jersey Boys, Fun Home, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Last Ship starring Sting, The Light in The Piazza, Matthew Bourne’s Edward Scissorhands, MJ, Stereophonic, The Sound of Music and many more. Jenny served as the marketing consultant for the Transcendence Theatre Company in Sonoma County for two seasons and marketed the first new virtual musical of 2020, A Killer Party, to venues across the country. She holds a BA with Honors in Telecommunications and Film from San Diego State University and is a proud member of ATPAM.
